Nino Gvetadze is not only a great piano soloist. She is also an excellent accompanist on the keys. In this concert she accompanies the violinist Frederieke Saeijs in César Franck’s universally known violin sonata. Less well-known are Saint-Saëns’ arrangements for violin and piano of Chopin’s nocturnes. Finally they perform solo, the one as former Artist in Residence and the other as her successor. Together they interpret a special concert for violin and piano by Chausson accompanied by the Rubens Quartet.
