Cuadro Flamenco roept met zijn intense voorstellingen altijd een fascinerende sfeer op. Opzwepende flamenco en Baskische ritmes spelen de hoofdrol in dit grootschalige spektakel van internationale topdansers en -muzikanten, dat voor een korte tournee naar ons land komt. Met dans, zang en muziek wordt een ontdekkingsreis gemaakt, op zoek naar de Spaanse ziel. Tegen de achtergrond van fraaie (audio)visuele effecten en begeleid door vurige dans trekt een tienkoppig percussieorkest van Baskische heren op leeftijd voorbij en hoort u onder meer de txalaparta, een eeuwenoud Baskisch percussie-instrument, door de jonge tweeling Maika en Sara Gómez op spectaculaire wijze bespeeld.

Cuadro Flamenco always conjures up a fascinating atmosphere with his intense shows. Stirring flamenco and Basque rhythms play a key part in this grand spectacle of leading international dancers and musicians who will be making a brief tour of the Netherlands. The show is a voyage of discovery in search of the soul of Spain through dance, singing and music. Beautiful audiovisual effects and fiery dancing form the backdrop to a percussion orchestra of ten of the older generation of players from the Basque country and young twins Maika and Sara Gómez spectacularly playing the txalaparta, a century old Basque percussion instrument.
